NY Giants Big Apple Maple Glazed Cookies
Makes about 36 cookies

1/2 cups butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1 egg
2 tablespoons sour cream
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon cloves
1 teaspoon baking soda
2-3 tart apples, such as Granny Smith or Macintosh, chopped

Glaze
1 tablespoon melted butter
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons maple syrup
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1-2 tablespoons water

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line cookie sheet with parchment paper.

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light in color. Add egg and sour cream; stir to combine. Add remaining ingredients, except apple, and stir until combined. Gently fold in the apples.

Drop the cookie mixture by the tablespoonful onto the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the tops are dry. Remove the cookies from the oven and allow to cool on a wire rack.

Make the glaze: Whisk together all of the ingredients in a small bowl. Add water until the glaze reaches the desired consistency. Drizzle the glaze over the warm cookies.

Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
